These are installation offers presented to a user who is in the process of distributing another app or some sharable content. Any viral installs of your app after that "seeded" install are free and the developer/publisher gets all the benefits without any of the costs. So depending on how engaging that content is, a publisher may only have to seed a tiny fraction of the total distribution. Joerg Ryan,
