Adobe Swag Auction to Help Earthquake Victims in China

This is not something that all of my readers will be able to take advantage of but I thought it was a really great example of Adobe and the community doing something to help out the people in China. We’ve donated some swag to the Hong Kong Flex and AIR User Group to be auctioned off. All of the proceeds will go to the earthquake victims and the winner of the auction can decide which specific charity the money goes to.

The auction is supposed to end on June 20th, but it doesn’t look like anyone has bid yet (I can’t tell if there’s a different website) so if you’re interested in something, bid away (1 U.S. dollar is around 8 HKD)!

Huge kudos to Vicker, the Hong Kong User Group, John Koch, and Ed Sullivan for helping out.

Please correct me if I’m wrong: Adobe donated 4 T-Shirts to go for auction to help the Victims of the Earthquake? I’m sure that something got lost in traslation between English and Cantonese…..

Well we gave 3 shirts and a jacket it looks like. Good way to get some Adobe stuff and have the proceeds go to a good cause.

    Ryan,

Thanks for broadcasting the event in your blog. Originally we only target members in our user group. Now we are making that worldwide. Any member in Adobe User Group can join. And personally I will cover the shipping cost. Deadline is also extended for 1 week. Thanks.

    Penpals,

If you still have problems accessing the web. Please drop me a email directly through vicker[at]gmail.com.

    Emanuele,

    Sorry about my bad translation.

    Dusty,

Are you David from CFUG? If not… probably I missed you email.
