I hate to say it, but what's the point? They have taken a perfectly good web-based app and put a proprietary wrapper around it, which requires a download. What's the upside? Offline mode ... use Google Gears.

Personally offline mode for this type of app is a real tease. Most blog posts link to internet content anyway.

It's app like this that make me wonder "what's the point of AIR?".

Great job Adam. I think there will be a lot of value in this when you get offline mode working. Performance issues for me don't really start until after 50 feeds are loaded.

Am I missing OPML import?

Hi Ryan, thanks for reviewing my app. I too am a massive NetNewsWire fan and wanted something like it that worked with Google Reader. It's early days, but I hope to get offline mode working very soon and improve those performance issues as well.

Nice find Ryan. I agree, it's a little sluggish and to be honest, I still prefer working offline with gears but it's a good start. When offline support is added I think this will be awesome.
