Scribd Gets $3.5 Million

June 4th, 2007 by ryanstewart

ScribdTechCrunch is reporting that Scribd, the “YouTube of documents” raised another $3.5 million in funding. I wrote about Scribd a while back because they’re using FlashPaper to display the shared documents. I’m an old softie for FlashPaper, so congratulations to the team at Scribd for keeping the momentum going and getting more funding. TechCrunch said they’re planning on using it to hire programmers and the job site says they’re looking for web developers with Flash/Flex/Apollo experience. If you’re interested, drop them a note.

So now your Adobe Ryan can you tell us if there are any plans for Flash Paper. I am an old softie for it too, and would love to see it live on without the bloat of Acrobat.
