Apollo Tidbits

June 8th, 2007 by ryanstewart

I’m in Chicago at the Flash in the Can Roadshow getting to present a session on Apollo but and while I’ve been gone, people have been posting an announcing a lot of cool Apollo stuff that is worth sharing.

Kevin Hoyt has another Apollo Sneak dealing with the HTML features that will be in our beta version (coming soon). In this one he shows us how to create HTML apps that have a transparent background. He has a great demo using Meebo that shows what kinds of things you can do when you can build your own HTML chrome. If you’re an Ajax developer, the features coming up in Apollo are going to let you do some very creative things. I’m looking forward to seeing all-Ajax Web 2.0 sites (like Meebo) dig in to Apollo.

Also there is a new Apollo book out, Adobe Apollo in Flight, a digital short by Sams’ Publishing. It looks like it covers the basics of building an Apollo applcaiton, so if you’re looking to get a head start, this seems like a good way to go.
