Adobe Giving Away Free Flex Books?

Flex 2 Book In what may be the best promotion ever, I’ve been hearing rumors that Adobe is giving away free Flex books. Not just throwing them out on the street or anything, but I’ve heard that people who added Flex books to their Amazon Wish List are suddenly having them appear at their doorstep.

Can anyone confirm that? If it’s true, That is AWESOME. It’s a great way to find the people interested in Flex and give them a little nudge into checking out the platform. Can anyone out there confirm that this is the case? Again, if it’s true, a fantastic guerilla marketing campaign by Adobe.

And if you’re looking for Flex books to add to your wish list….there are a plenty.

    If they indeed do that, that’s great. But I would not stop at that. What would be even smarter is to send free Flex books to anyone who has WPF/E books on their wishlist :)

    Thats really great news! And I totally agree with Mark on giving the books to WPF/E people as well. Another good thing the people at Adobe should consider is sending the API posters out more. For example to schools or companies who use Flex. It’s a great resource but it’s difficult to read from a PDF.

    IT IS TRUE! I didn’t believe it either but I went ahead and made an Amazon Wishlist anyway. And then, this showed up about 5-6 weeks later! That’s $100 DVD-ROM to someone they have never ever met! Thanks Adobe and especially Mike Potter! This is a HUGE deal and if I wasn’t before, I am totally an Adobe powered drone!
