Mark, that is a great resource, thanks. I'll be keeping my eye out for Muse information coming out of TechEd. It's going to be an awesome showcase of what Flex and Apollo can do. I also saw the first round of interviews up on PodTech, so I can't wait to see them all.

Thanks for dropping by Mark!

Hi Ryan. It's Mark Yolton here. Thanks for quoting Scoble (sort of) quoting me. We got a charge out of having him join us in Las Vegas for our TechEd conference, and it's clear from his blog that he was surprised and impressed by our energy, momentum, and direction.

We have another TechEd in Amsterdam in October, and then it's off to Bangalore TechEd in November. All are welcome. See http://sapteched.com

Here's a moderatly old (June 2006) fact sheet on Project Muse. https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c70862a6-0b01-0010-fc85-df8cb2ef3721 (Moderately old because the world moves fast around here at SAP). Muse is a hot topic here at SAP TechEd, with demos and more to come.

This will be a very cool marker for Apollo. I laugh daily at how the company I work for who own SAP R3 and then some, constantly buy new addons etc and the first thing they do when they unpack it....build a new UI.

We are rolling out a brand new PayRoll system thats SAP related and a large portion of the $$ invested were based around the UI.

Apollo and the new Muse Project in a nutshell may save large enterprises like mine a bucket load of cash.. which means I can sign off with pride on the next SAP project that reaches my desk instead of shaking my head, signing and watching lots of 0's float past..

Kudos to the Apollo team for that win :)

Scott, yup. The money quote from the blog post is:

What are the desktop prerequisites? Muse will run on Adobe's new Apollo framework, which is basically a merger of Acrobat Reader and Flash Player technologies. Should be very cool.

Matthais, that's awesome, and I can't wait to listen to the interview over on PodTech. Thanks for letting me know.

Last commenter forgot to close his href...
Actually I am a joint presenter with Marco Ertel from SAP talking on "Next Generation of Client Technology for SAP" (see http://www.sapteched.com/usa/edu_sessions/session.htm?sid=121) where I will talk about the Adobe Engagement Platform and Apollo (incl. a brief demo).
Also Robert interviewed me today for the new SAP channel on PodTech.net (http://www.podtech.net/?cat=90) and I talked briefly about Muse and Apollo.
We also had some really cool Flex hands-on sessions today with James Ward showing how to integrate Flex apps with SAP Web Services (a lot of excitement and interest from SAP customers).

Cheers,

Yes, Muse is using the Apollo Framework, see Project Muse-- New GUI for SAP for details. But Flash UIs can already be generated today by Visual Composer - looks really nice compared to old UIs and makes for example the creation of animated charts possible.
